Warhammer 40k - Death Guard Army Painting Progress
I also finished up a Lord of Contagion
I'm really liking the putrid dirty pussy style of these models. The play style is interesting and is different from what I normally play. I've picked up 3x Lord of Contagions and 3x Malignant Plaguecasters for a smite spammy kind of attack. I've also got 40x Poxwalkers and 10x Cultists to go along with it.
I can't wait to get the Death Guard Primarch, Mortarion, and some of the new Death Guard models that have been teased. It's going to be a fun army to play.

Warhammer 40k Army - Ultramarines Painted

Warhammer 40k - Ultramarines
Last night I got a chance to paint up some Terminators and was happy with the outcome. I still need to add some highlights to the base and glue down some grass. This would be a 1,000 point Matched play army. If I get another Dreadnought painted this would be a fully painted 50 Power Point army.
I've never played 40k but I'm pretty competitive when it comes to Warmachine so I'm not sure how the tournament point structure is set. From what I've been reading, 7th Edition was 1,850 points but in the new 8th Edition it will be 2,000 points. I've got about 3,000 points of Space Marines but I'm not sure they work together as a lot of them are expensive models/units.
My goal is to have a fully painted 1000 point / 50 Power Level army by the end of the week (June 25, 2017) and then by the end of July, have a fully painted 2,000 point army.

Repainted Warhammer 40k Space Marines Tactical Squad
I spent the week scrubbing and stripping all the paint off my old Warhammer 40k models to prep for the new 8th edition. I wanted to try using an airbrush to paint the armor which turned out well until I tried to do a black wash on top which made it really muddy. What I should have done was just hit the cracks with the wash instead of doing an all over coat.
I'm iffy on the models pictured above and I might just go ahead and strip then AGAIN and start over depending on how my other Space Marines turn out.

Getting Ready for Warhammer 40k 8th Edition: Space Marines - Dark Angels - Grey Knights
Over the years I've collected a lot of Warhammer 40k miniatures. Most were from trades where people gave me a bucket of models so I'm not 100% sure what everything is. I'll be slowly updating my blog with pictures so I can have an inventory of them.
I'll be working on stripping and repainting everything when I have time.
That's it for the Space Marine Related stuff. I'll be working on my Necrons, Eldar, Dark Eldar, and Tyranids,
If you want to help support Dice Wrath and want to get into 8th edition please make sure to use the links below to purchase something!
Chaos Space Marines - Preparing for 8th Edition Warhammer 40k
I'm really excited to see if 8th edition can sway me to the dark side and be another pit that I throw hard earned money into.
I'm working on stripping and repainting them but it's going to be a major undertaking.
I honestly don't even know what models I have so in this blog I'm going to start listing them starting with the Chaos Space Marines:
Guild Ball Neoprene Classic Pitch (Mouse Pad Material)
For my birthday I decided to invest some money into a Neoprene Guild Ball Pitch. I was debating between the Proving Grounds design and the Classic design and finally decided to go with the classic pitch.
Pros and Cons of the Guild Ball Proving Grounds Pitch
- Pro: Has a cool design, lots of detail
- Pro: Has a designated 2'x2' square area for smaller games and demoing
- Pro: One solid neoprene piece
- Pro: Models and terrain don't slip around like on the pitch provided in the Kick-Off starter set
- Con: It's really busy looking
- Con: If you're playing a full 3'x3' game the 2'x2' square is distracting
Pros and Cons of the Guild Ball Classic Pitch
- Pro: Full 3'x3' Mat
- Pro: One solid neoprene piece
- Pro: Models and terrain don't slip around like on the pitch provided in the Kick-Off starter set
- Con: It's really boring looking

Infinity: Yu Jing - Painted Sun Tze
If you follow the pictures at the top you can see how I painted the model. First I primed it gray and then painted his face. Next I base coated his armor in orange and silver. After that I gave everything a darker color wash and then hit it with some highlights. Tada! It's table top quality, ready to play!

Guild Ball - Painted Greyscales, Angel, Shark and Siren
Guild Ball - Fishermen - Painted Corsair
He was also really fun to paint since his features are so defined. I plan on doing some battle reports in the future with Corsair and his Fishermen crew so stay tuned!

Guild Ball - Kick Off - Masons - Brewers - Fishermen
Brewers Plastic Set - Scum, Spigot, Tapper, Stave, Hooper, Friday
The Brewers have a lot of synergy and buffs with each other and deal a whole bunch of damage. They're great for wrecking face and occasionally scoring a few goals.
Masons Plastic Set - Marbles, Mallet, Honour, Brick, Harmony, Flint
The Mason's strategy relies on their strong defense and their abilities to counter charge. They're an all comers kind of guild and can have a flexible play style.
Fishermen - Greyscales, Hag, Jac, Shark, Kraken, Salt, Corsair, Siren, Angel, Sakana
The Fishermen are not about stabbing you with spears or bludgeoning you with their hammers, they want to score goals. They are super mobile and great at sneaking an unexpected shot.
I'm looking forward to playing a few more games and demoing it to some friends to get them into it. If you're interested in starting Guild Ball I suggested you pick up the brand new Guild Ball Kick Off Starter Set which includes 2 full ready to play armies and all the fun bits you need to kick some balls.

Legion of Everblight Shirt
Here's a Legion of Everblight Shirt I've been working on for a buddy who's going to Kingdomcon. Check out some other Warmachine T-Shirt designers here
This shirt is printed on an American Apparel 100% combed cotton tee. They're a modern cut so they run a little smaller than usual so get a size bigger if you want a looser fit. I carry Small, Medium, Large, XL, 2XL, and 3XL in both Black and Red. Wear this to your next tournament and impress all the girls that won't be there!
